AME Privacy policy

Effective date: 17 August 2026

1. Who is responsible for your information?

Hole Tech (Pty) Ltd, trading as Africa Mining EPC (“AME”), is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

Registration number: 2017/526441/07
Registered office: 70 Farqhar Street, Ladysmith, 3370

2. Information AME collects

When you respond to an AME advertisement through a LinkedIn Lead Gen Form, AME receives:

  • your name;

  • your surname;

  • your company; and

  • your email address.

If you use the AME website contact form, AME receives your name, surname, email address and the information you include in your message.

You provide this information voluntarily. If you do not provide it, AME may be unable to contact you or respond to your request.

3. How AME uses the information

AME uses information submitted through a LinkedIn Lead Gen Form only to contact you about the specific advertisement to which you responded.

Information submitted through the AME website contact form is used only to respond to or process your request.

Submitting either form does not subscribe you to a mailing list. AME does not currently place this information into a customer relationship management system or use it for unrelated marketing.

AME does not sell the information.

4. Access and sharing

Access is limited to authorised AME personnel who need the information to respond to you.

LinkedIn and AME’s website service providers process information as necessary to operate their respective forms and platforms. AME may also disclose information where required by law.

LinkedIn separately processes information on its platform under the LinkedIn Privacy Policy. This policy covers AME’s use of the information after it is submitted to AME.

Some platform or website providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, AME will use providers or transfer arrangements that provide the protection required by the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”).

5. Retention and security

AME keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry or request, or to meet a legal requirement.

When AME is no longer authorised to retain the information, it will be deleted or securely destroyed.

AME takes appropriate and reasonable measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask AME to:

  • confirm whether it holds your personal information;

  • provide access to your information;

  • correct inaccurate information;

  • stop contacting you; or

  • delete information AME is no longer authorised to retain.

To ask AME to stop contacting you and remove your details from its records, complete the AME contact form.

You may also use the contact form to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information. AME may take reasonable steps to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

You may lodge a complaint through the South African Information Regulator’s complaints portal or email POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.

7. Changes

If AME changes how it collects or uses personal information, this policy and the relevant form will be updated before the new use begins.
